Another great game I play(ed) [more to be revealed later] is called “The Secret World” – a game where all the myths, legends, conspiracy theories, and mystical strangeness you can imagine is actually real. It’s a contemporary setting, the real world, today, with a large dollop of mysticism and weirdness added into the mix. Imagine C’thulu vs 21st Century society.
The game centres around you as a strangely empowered beeing (no that’s not a typo – Bees really do kick ass in this game, as they should in RL but hey thanks for condemning us to an early grave, Monsanto.)
This game has just been relaunched this summer as Secret World Legends. It’s looking very promising so far – but there are some flaws (I don’t know if I can complain too much, since I was in the closed beta but didn’t have time to give too much input.) However so far, looking good and some more noise about it which is good because the game deserves a good player base.
Anyhow, this is a painting I created not long after I started replaying TSW sometime at the end of last year, in a place called Agartha, the central “hub” of the game, and rough representations of the main factions in the game.
I’m sure I’ll paint more in SWL, and although this picture isn’t so great, I was pleasantly pleased with it.
